About
Martin leads a team of experienced and committed lecturing staff on the Bachelor of Product Design at Unitec. He lists design education and design for need as his foremost research interest and is currently undertaking preparatory research in for a PhD. With a background in sustainable product design, his Master’s thesis focused of the application of lightness as a sustainable design strategy. Martin’s has a significant depth of experience in the education sector, industrial design consultancy and marine engineering work for companies and government organisations in New Zealand and the U.K. He has recently returned from a one-semester staff exchange to the University of Limerick in Ireland.
